Functional as well as beautiful, the 15 pieces in this cookware set will bring joy to any serious cook. The set includes a 1-quart covered saucepan, a 1-1/2-quart covered saucepan, a 2-quart covered saucepan, a big, 8-quart covered stockpot (6-1/2 inches high, 9-3/4 inches in diameter), and a 4-quart covered saucepot. Also included are 8-inch and 10-inch nonstick skillets. (The stockpot lid fits the larger skillet.) Finally, there are three mixing bowls--1-quart, 2-quart, and 3-quart--with snap-on plastic lids. Except for the plastic lids, all pieces are made of heavy, 18/10 stainless steel polished to a mirror finish. The saucepans, saucepot, and stockpot have aluminum cores in their bases to spread heat quickly and evenly. The cores are completely clad in stainless steel for corrosion resistance and easy cleanup. Farberware Cookware has been in our family for generations, quality company, quality cookware, stainless offers good cooking options, withstands, lasts forever, cleans well. For my daughters bridal gift I decided on Farberware Cookware 15 piece set of stainless variety standard sizes pots, pans & lids which also includes a set of 3 sizes of stainless bowls with plastic lids. Though Farberware Cookware has made a change I'm not a fan of as this sets pans (not the pots) are teflon interior instead of stainless, teflon doesnt last as long as stainless & I believe Farberware should offer the usual stainless interior pans with their sets & sell teflon separate for those interested. Thus happily I did purchase a used but new conditioned Farberware Cookware 3 size stainless interior pan/lids set on Ebay to include with this 15 piece set purchased from Amazon.com for my daughter. Nevertheless search pricing for this exact 15 piece Farberware Cookware set ranged from $120 & up plus shipping, but Amazon.com definately carried the best most remarkable price at $99 plus about $17 shipping! But, remarkably more so, before I made the actual purchase, the set went on sale at Amazon.com for $89 and FREE shipping! Wow! what an Amazon of a bargain! A beautiful set of Farberware Cookware at a great bargain & absolutely great transaction! As long as Amazon.com is this outstanding & keeps me happy, I will continue to shop with Amazon.com! 5 STARS* to Amazon.com!
