I HIGHLY recommend this backpack! My kids are very rough on their backpacks, and this is the only backpack we've ever owned that not only made it through the whole school year, but still looks and works great for the next school year! I purchased this product in August '07. I ordered this one because of the rubber molded bottom; every other rolling backpack my kids have owned has gotten rips or tears in the bottom from scraping the ground. My kids' backpacks usually look terrible after the first few months of school, but not this one...my daughter was able to use this one again this year, and it looks and operates just like it did the day we got it. Yes, the wheels will get a little scuffed, but the lights are still very bright, and the kids love them. We've had no issues at all with the handle. I am ordering a second one for my youngest child who is in kindergarten, and just had the handle fall off on his Power Rangers bag. He is willing to give up having a "character" backpack to have this one. The only cons I have found is that the backpack is kind of heavy- even when empty- for younger children (because it is made so well!) and it does seem a little cramped inside...which probably would not be the best choice for older kids with lots of big books. + See Full Customer Review |  |
